What a wonderful day! More of JB's personality is coming out (huge smile).
The kid has an arm already at 2. He can throw his little panda clear across the room. Our favorite games today were obviously catch, but we also enjoyed making faces at each other. I'd open my eyes real wide and he'd start laughing, then he'd do it back to me and I couldn't help but laugh. I think I also got him to say "ta da"! He'd stack his cups and when he put the last one on, I'd say "Ta Da"! after a while I heard him say it once or twice. He also decided that climbing on the bed and playing with his big sister Bethany was quite a treat. He'd climb up, play for a while, then climb down. Not a minute later, he was back up and playing.
He seems to be very comfortable in our room, but when we're out in public, he appears to get stressed and shuts down a little. We walked to Walmart and the whole time he just hugged whomever was holding him... not saying a word. We bought a stroller for him, and he did NOT like it. When we put him in it, he just cried. I'm thinking it's because he couldn't see us very well and got scared. It could also be that he was stressed and just wanted to be held close to feel safe.
Tonight I gave him a bath, and he just loved playing with his rubber ducks. He'd pick them up and drop them from as high as his little arm could reach. He'd also push them under the water to watch them come back up.
We're truly blessed to have JB as part of our family. He is a handful, but I would not trade him for anything.
Tomorrow we get our notarized paperwork back to check for errors. Other than that, we have another free day. We'll try going to the park again and see if JB will let us put him in the stroller (laugh).
Good night everyone and we'll see you soon!

I love the smile! I can't wait to meet him.
I think that you will see some of JB's busyness is due to the grief and changes that he is experiencing! I am sure he will "mellow" some as he acclimates!
