Gotcha Day + 1

Violet & JB

Well, today was an awesome day! we went and finalized JB's adoption and he is officially ours now.
We then went and had everything notarized and then later in the afternoon, we went shopping to get some much needed stuff.

JB's personality is really starting to come out. Right now, I think he has fully bonded with me. I seem to be his favorite (laugh).  He is now comfortable enough with us that he freely roams around the room. He loves playing with the sippy cup and plastic cars we got him. Believe me, he is all boy (LOL)!! He has SO much energy that I don't know if I'm going to be able to keep up.  He facial expressions are SO much more dramatic than they were yesterday.  He did have a little bit of a hard time when we went back to the adoption center where we picked him up yesterday, but after our guide spoke some Chinese to him, he seem to understand that we were not going anywhere without him.  After he woke from his afternoon nap, he was like a whole different child.  It was the first time that he would climb off of our laps and explore a little bit.  His play became more energetic and oh I can't tell you how some of his facial expression were just cracking me up.

I'm having a hard time realizing that all that waiting is over and here we are with this special little boy who is such a joy.  I'm sitting here typing as he is sleeping and can hardly tear my eyes away from his precious little face.
