China - Day 13

JB & Charity - Shopping at Walmart

How do I explain today...

We are finding out that JB is one spoiled child and we have begun the unspoiling process. Our hotel neighbors might not be so happy, but it cannot wait until we get home. Today downtown he threw an absolute meltdown fit. The Chinese people were looking at me and I know they're saying "this is why we don't like Americans adopting our children". Nap time and Bed time went about the same as last night. I'm sure that he's grieving too in his own way (poor little guy), but we can't let him continue to act out this way. On the other side of the coin, when he isn't throwing a fit, he is the sweetest/cutest thing!!!

Charity had a much better day today! I can't recall her crying except when Violet washed her hair tonight, but we knew that was coming. She and Violet had a wonderful time sitting on the bed watching Veggie Tales on my iPad and reading books. Earlier today she actually was playing with another little girls in the playroom. Even though neither one could understand the other, they had a great time. She still doesn't know what to think of me. We have some fun times together, but most of the time she just gives me the stink eye. That's okay because I'm hoping she'll warm up to me over time. She loves her new dress that she wore today. I would occasionally catch her twirling and making modeling poses. Violet also bought her a couple of extra pairs of shoes which she happily tried on.

I'm VERY proud of both Charity and JB in how well they are doing!! I know we have a long way to go, but they are doing so well.

I'm sorry if I am rambling and unstructured. Its just kind of coming out as I think of it.
