Charity - Day 2

Our little China Princess!
Well... Today was day 2 with Charity and I think it went much better. She woke up sad and cried a little at breakfast, but Violet says that once she got off the elevator on our floor, she seemed to perk up. What a trooper!! Today we went and filed all of her paperwork and she is now officially ours. It was amazing because the lady that brought Charity to the adoption center was there and Charity appeared to recognize her, but never once went towards her. In fact, she and I were having so much fun playing chase, that we got kicked out of the waiting room (laugh). How many people can say that? We got back to our room, and had some lunch, but then went for a walk and Violet bought Charity a new pair of shoes. She seems VERY proud of them. She still prefers to hang out with Violet, and I am okay with that. I can still make her laugh and she even waved at me once today. Tonight while Violet & Bethany were getting dinner, she had another sad moment, but this time she let me hold her without trying to get away and actually fell asleep in my arms. I Love my little China princess!!

JB is still finding his comfort level and has now begun testing his limits. We are now thinking that he got away with stuff because he's so cute. if he doesn't get his own way at times, he starts throwing fits. That's when we let him lay on the floor and work it out. Once he gets over it, he's the same old happy/funny JB. The fits only last about a minute or 2 so that's good. He and Charity are still figuring each other out as well. Sometimes Charity will help JB with something and then the next she's pushing him away. I think once we get home and they have more room to wander, things will get better.

Tomorrow we're going to Walmart and pick up some stuff, then possible to the martyrs park. Maybe we can get there early enough to see the Interesting people doing their thing again (laugh).

Talk to you all again tomorrow!!
