Anyway, this is the story of how God heard the cry of a mommy's heart for her little ones.
The day we received JB's Letter Of Acceptance was a bitter-sweet day. Normally it is a day to celebrate, do cartwheels, jump up and down, etc. But almost as soon as we were told that JB's LOA had arrived, we were told that Charity's had NOT. We were then told it would take another month for her LOA to arrive...they said probably around July 15th. Our excitement immediately turned into devastation. It was probably my worst Monday ever!
So on Tuesday I got on my knees. I prayed and fasted for Charity's file to be processed quickly. Adoption is spiritual warfare and it was time to fight. In the midst of filling out yet more paperwork for JB's LOA, I prayed and fasted for Charity's LOA to be done NOW! I imagined a sweet person in China finding her paperwork in a pile and seeing that it needed to be rushed. And I expected her LOA to arrive within the week...ok, by Wednesday (patience has never been a strength of mine...lol). Since it does take awhile for things to get from China to the US, when Wednesday came and went, and then Thursday, I was ok with that.
Especially since it actually arrived on FRIDAY!!!
Instead of waiting for another month, only 4 days after JB's LOA arrived we had Charity's LOA in our hands! Is God amazing or what?!
I couldn't stop crying when we got the news. Sometimes it's easy to let doubt creep in and I wonder if God is really out there helping us. This was a complete confirmation from Him that He heard the cries of a mother's heart and is working to bring our children home. :-)
