Do we have adorable kids or what?!

So you have probably already seen the adorable pics of JB and Charity that Wayne posted. I still can't get over how beautiful they are! The most amazing thing is that we almost didn't get to see them at all!

About a month ago we had changed our internet company and with it came a change of email address. The adoption agency had made a typo when they changed it in their system so for almost a month we were not receiving emails from the agency unless they were responding directly to an email from one of us.

When I emailed the travel department with a question last week, they responded by asking why I hadn't sent them our children's visa applications...along with another pile of money. We hadn't heard a word about it, and I was NOT happy to have missed such an important deadline (or to be paying even more money). So in the midst of clarifying their instructions I asked them if they had our new email address right. They checked and found out the error.

Pam in the waiting child department realized she had sent updated pics to the wrong address. She resent them and I spent the afternoon crying all over again at the sight of my beautiful children. Needless to say, my frustration over the missed visa applications was immediately washed away (and, not to worry, they were filled out and sent to China in time to avoid any delays).

We hadn't seen a picture of JB since his match pics. He's so BIG!!! And such a wiggle worm! And Charity is so full of life! She's even holding the panda/teddy bear we sent her back in April. Best of all, we found out that JB has been in foster care for over a year now and has already had the surgery to repair his cleft palate.

We are so grateful to the people in China who are caring for our sweet little ones! It is obvious by the pictures that they are thriving with their foster parents. Charity is receiving daily physical therapy at home for her club foot and clenched fist...and she goes to the orphanage once a week for more intense work. And the fact that JB has had his palate repaired is beyond all of our expectations!

Bethany and I went straight out and shopped for gifts for both of them. For some reason the update said that JB did not receive our care package sent in April (meant to arrive for his birthday), but we are going to try again. Hopefully, this one will arrive in time for Charity's birthday in August.

Can't wait to hold them in my arms!!!
