We received our Log In Date (LID) for Charity yesterday. We're a bit confused as we thought we already had one. Violet called our adoption agency, but got conflicting stories from the woman that she talked to. Part of it could have been a laguage thing as the lasy that Violet talked to did not speak english very well.
I guess this is just one more stumbling block in our adventure in International Adoption (laugh).
I guess the good news is that this gives us more time to come up with more fundraising ideas. We have put the word out to friends and family on our current financial status and what we still need before leaving for China.
We have GREAT friends and church family and have had wonderful responses in the areas of financial gifts and prayer.
I think that sometimes people feel bad about not being able to give financially, and overlook the value of prayer. Violet and I both agree that prayer is THE most important aspect of this adoption process. There are days where it just feels like we're taking 3 steps back, and the frustration level is almost unbearable. If it was not for prayer, we would not make it through those days. Then there are days like yesterday where we get good news and it feels like Christmas morning.
We know that this is all in God's hands and that someday soon we will have our little ones in our arms. We will be able to love them and care for them.
